Bungy Jump Nepal

Posted on January 20, 2008. Filed under: Nepal - Why Not? | Tags: , , , , |

The experience is back from 2 years, three of my friends (Nikesh, Kabir, Roshan) and I (Vinayak Shrestha) decided to go for the jump. The jump is from a suspension bridge, which is over Bhote Koshi river gorge. It is near Nepal-Tibet border, about 3 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. The jump was only about 8 seconds, and it was enough to pump out everything inside me. The last minute before jump made me quite nervous, as I stand there on the edge and the heavy hanging rope was pulling me down, the crew guy from behind pushing me more to the edge. We spent the rest of the day, watching others do it. Some doing very skillfully, and some withdrawing. We also watched others do swing jumps, which seemed to be more exciting than bungy. It would be about 15 seconds jump. At night, we stayed at The Last Resort, where there was a Trance Party organized.
